The double LP of MARCO MASSA was born in an atmosphere of ideal understanding. We understood each other immediately, both with him and with his entire team. The first meeting took place in my studio, thanks to the wonderful Laura, a golden bridge who introduced us. The concept became clear within a few hours: we had to find a way to reflect, in images as well as music, the most important stages in the life of the singer-songwriter and musician, his experiences, his loves, his passions and his visions. The language had to be strong and powerful, like the songs and like the contrast between life and soul on the two LPs, one white and one black.

The photographs could only be in black and white, therefore, to convey the light and shade, the opposites that come together, the visible and the invisible.

A powerful set was created in my studio (a real move). I asked Marco to search his cupboards, drawers and attics for everything that had mattered to him in his journey as a man and an artist.

With this mountain of instruments, objects, diaries, records, photographs, sheet music, books, gloves, letters, models, puppets, scarves and his chair, I recreated, in my own way, a universe that evoked his life.

The surprise and emotion were great, for him, but also for all of us around him. I hope these images will accompany his album to great success.
