We create a portrait together; I do not do it alone.

The attention and care I devote to the person in front of me are essential to put them at ease, allow them to breathe naturally, and bring them into a state of openness. The connection begins long before the shot, with meetings, conversations, and sharing.

Every person is a world unto themselves and has a story. For me, their portrait cannot be separated from these elements. I meet my subject in the days leading up to the shoot to talk about ourselves, tell each other about our lives, and discover their passions, strengths and weaknesses.

I also talk about myself; mine is not a voyeuristic approach, which goes in only one direction. Often, from those moments, a complicity and trust are born that allow us to let our guard down and capture the inner light at the right moment.
